Tender Buttons, Trish Keenan, and Gertrude Stein
Blogger Jez Winship writes a very long, well-written article on Tender Buttons, Broadcast lyrics, and even goes into Trish’s short story “Life of a Dummy”. I don’t think I have the time to finish reading this article right now, haha, but I’m really interested in going through it eventually. This guy must have put a ton of time into researching all this. It’s awesome, can’t wait read it all. :)
On a bit of a side note, I’ve been reading this book called Gertrude Stein and the Essence of What Happens. It’s pretty great so far. I don’t really know much about Stein or her work, so it’s great getting a bit more background.

Of course I posted about Broadcast about a week behind a veritable senior thesis of scholarship on them, Gertrude Stein...
